commissioned by retired city manager Tim Riordan, to honor public servants. installed in Cooper Park, Dayton, OH. the granite is PA granite. it was a surface plate from nearby Wright Patt AFB. there are about 14 quotes by various notables engraved on the stone, in such a way that one much walk round the stone to read them. the two seats are inter-connected, allowing the seated to converse--the idea being that public service is communication thru walls.
